Beautiful, antique sidelites salvaged from an old home in Northeast Pennsylvania. Each one  is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine wood and is painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap,  weak,  soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year  old trees don't have the same  insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even  fire-resistant qualities  that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds  of years old have. Old pine is also  much  harder and stronger than young  pine.

Uneven Width: The width of Sidelite#2 was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the sidlite to an even height/width, or cut it  narrower/shorter, or even build it, up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: Considering  that the sidelites are about 100 years old, they're in great shape. They have the typical  scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on doors/windows  this old. However, there are no serious flaws like rot, warp, or broken  joints.

Each sidelite has a 10 pieces of true-divided glass. Unfortunately, one sidelite has  1 cracked glass lite. We could replace the cracked glass lite--message  us for a quote.

The  rest of the undamaged glass only has subtle scratches.

Strip/Refinish: We could strip/refinish, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you  to repaint or  refinish. We  have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an idea of how  this door could clean up. Email us   with a small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you a quote.

Modification: We could  also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a  frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse  the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description of  what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
