12"x80" Pair of Antique Vintage Old Solid Wooden Wood Sidelite Entry Doors Window Glass
12"x80" Pair of Antique Vintage Old Solid Wooden Wood Sidelite Entry Doors Window Glass
Beautiful, antique sidelites salvaged from an old home in Northeast Pennsylvania. Each one is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine wood and is painted on both sides.
Both doors have a worn paint. This allows for an easier time sanding and/or stripping.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.
Condition: Considering that the sidelites are about 100 years old, they're in great shape. They have the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on doors/windows this old. However, there are no serious flaws like rot, warp, or broken joints. The Worst damage is on Sidelite#2 which has a break on the top corner (see last photo).
All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.
Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
