30"x83" Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Interior Wood Wooden Door 5 Five Panels

Beautiful, antique, interior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is stained on one side and painted on the other side. It has 5 raised, horizontal, stacked panels on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young  pine.

Hardware: No hardware  included, however, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our  physical store.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. Cosmetically, it has nicks, scratches, and portion of the molding and some of the wood next to it broke off (see last photo). We could fix this--message us for a price. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door which allows you to install your hinges on either side of the door and define which way it swings.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels  with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with  a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
