Elegant, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern, PA. They're made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and are painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak,   soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have    the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities    that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is  also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

The doors have a Victorian style, 4-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels. The panels are raised on both sides.

Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Size: The size of door#2 was unevenly cut. The width was unevenly cut by 3/8", and the height by 3/4". The cuts were made most likely to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even 27 5/8"x77". We can cut either door shorter/narrower, or even build it/them up to a larger size--message us for a quote.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that the doors have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: Door#1 is set up to swing into a room towards the right or away from the room  towards the left. Door #2 swings in the opposite direction. We can modify either door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the heights or widths, replace panels with glass, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
