2 available 30"x77.5" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian Interior Wood Wooden Doors 4 Panels

Elegant, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old, home in Wayne, PA. They're made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and are painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak,   soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have    the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities    that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is  also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

The doors have a Victorian style, 4-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels. The panels are raised on both sides.

Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Door#1 has a split, and breaks on the top & bottom pieces of one of its panels (see photos #5 & #6).

Door#2 was cut on the top, lock-stile corner to fit the height of the room it swung into (see last photo).

Most of the blemishes that the doors have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of both doors. This allows you to define its swing and install your hinges on either side.

Modification: We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make frames, trim or add to the heights or widths, replace panels with glass, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
