2 available 24"x78" Antique Vintage Old Reclaiming Salvaged Solid Wood Wooden Interior Doors 2 Panels

Handsome, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old Hardware Store in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  The doors are made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and are stained. They have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, 2 recessed (flat) panel arrangement.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn  from 10  - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant,  or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues.
Otherwise, most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: Door#1 swings into a room towards the right, away from the room towards the left. The hinge mortises span the thickness of Door#2 allowing you to define its swing and install your hinges on either side of the door. We could Modify Door#1 to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification:  Do you want to use these 2 doors as a pair? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We  could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a  frame, trim or add to the heights or widths, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
