Rare, antique, storm doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The doors are made of solid pine and are painted red on one side and stained on the other side.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young  pine.

The doors have a removable window with 4 old, wavy glass lites.

Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The height of Door#2 was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut either door to an even height/width, cut them shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to make them taller or wider to fit your opening--message us for a quote.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."

All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle  scratches.

Swing: The doors are currently set up to swing outwardly (away from the home) and end up on your right side or inwardly towards the left. We could modify either door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification:  We could also modify either door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height(s) or width(s), replace glass with screen,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
