27"x79" Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Victorian SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Doors 5 Five Raised Panels

Elegant, antique interior door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and is stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have   the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities   that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on both sides.

Hardware: The door isn't equipped with any hardware.  However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Condition: Considering the door is at least 100 years old, it  is strong, sturdy  and in great condition. It only has nicks  and scratches, but no rot, warp,  broken/cracked joints, or any other serious issues. There is a small break on the lock-housing (see last photo).

Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room  towards the left or away from a room towards the right. We can change the swing of any door--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify the  door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
