Gorgeous, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years  old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has a single window with old, beveled glass. There is a raised, decorative panel on the exterior side, and recessed (flat) panel on the interior side below the glass.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good  selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height:

The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut   the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller (ANY REQUESTED MODIFICATIONS TO THE HEIGHT OF THE DOOR ARE FREE)--message us for further information.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes  that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right or away from the home towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done,  and we'll give you a quote.
