27"x79.5" Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Victorian SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Doors 4 Four Raised Panels

Charming, antique door salvaged from an old home in Pottstown, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and is painted on both sides. The door has 4 raised panels on both sides and lovely, detailed molding around all panels.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out the "Hardware" section of our store).

Uneven Size: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" and the height by 1/2". The cuts were most likely made to  accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even 26"x79", or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks."

Swing:  The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door allowing you to install your hinges on either side and defining the way the door swings.

Modification: Do you  want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could  modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, plug the hardware  holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
