Charming, antique doors salvaged from an old home in Pottstown, PA. The doors are made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and are painted on both sides. The doors have 4 raised panels on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine  is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: No door is equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The height of Door#3 was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to  accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut any  door to an even height/width, or cut it/them narrower/shorter, or even build them up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks."

Swing:  The hinge mortises span the thickness of the doors allowing you to define their swings thus permitting you to install your hinges on either side.

Modification: Do you  want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could  modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a  frame, trim or add to the height or width,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware  holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you a quote.
