30"x77" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door 5 Panels

Charming, antique, door salvaged from an old, home in   Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir  or Pine, and is painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have  the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with  4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on  both sides.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However,  we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Height: The door's height was unevenly cut by 1/4", most likely to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even 76 3/4", cut  it  shorter/narrower, or even build it up to a larger size--email us  for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. it only has  nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damages on the door are   3 of the 5 panels the door has are cracked  (see photos 4 - 6). One of the panels also has cracked molding (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks"

Strip/Refinish: We could   refinish or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it  for you to  repaint or refinish. We have MANY  photos of doors that we've restored that could give  you an  idea of how  this  door could clean up. Email   us with a small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you   a quote.

Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door allowing you to define the  swing.

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
