30"x77" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Door 5 Panels

Lovely, interior door salvaged from an  old home in  Northeastern PA. The door is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and is  completely painted white. It has a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement. All of the  panels are raised on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same   insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old   pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder   and stronger than young  pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of   period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Width: The  width of Door#4 is uneven by 3/8" due to a separation between its top rail and  lock stile (see last photo). We could close the gaps--email us for a quote.

Condition: Considering it's age, the door is in great shape. It's strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It has nicks, scrapes, and  scratches, which will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks." The door is very well-built and ready for another lifetime of service.

Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the right, or away from the room  towards the left. We could make it swing in the opposite direction--email us for a quote.

Modification:  Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
