29.5"x77" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Door 2 Panels

Rare, antique door salvaged from an 1890's home in Southeastern PA (see last photo). The door is made of solid pine or Douglas Fir and is completely painted white on the front and tan on the back. It has 2 full-length, tall, parallel, vertical panels. The panels are recessed on the front and flush with the surrounding rails and stiles on the back-- a feature of doors made in the US during the 1700 and 1800's.

Hardware: The door comes with 2 steel hinges installed, which function properly and are in good condition.

The door was originally equipped with a surface mounted lock. Since only minimal holes are required to install such a lock, there are only 2 thin holes which could be filled with wood putty.

There is also a shallow depression where part of the lock was dug into the surface of the door (see 2nd to last photo). This could be filled with an oval-shaped plywood patch (1/16" - 1/8" thick) and wood putty.

Uneven Width: One of the door's sides was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point, most likely to compensate for the home's sagging foundation or warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 29 1/4" or narrower, or build it up to make it bigger--message us for a quote.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into the room towards the left or away towards the right. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Condition: This door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. There are no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, etc. Expect nicks, scrapes, and scratches--blemishes that will sand out prior to refinishing or repainting. The door is ready for another lifetime of service.
