31.5"x79" Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Interior SOLID Chestnut Wood Wooden Door 2 Panels

Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Chestnut, and has 2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. The door is stained on both sides.

Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900 & 1908, which made the North American chestnut trees virtually extinct by 1940.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a  good selection of  hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away from a room towards the right. We can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
