31"x79" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Exterior Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door 5 Panels

Elegant, antique interior door salvaged from an old,  home in Northeastern  Pennsylvania.  The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or  pine and has 5  raised panels on both sides. The door is painted green on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft     wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have     the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities     that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not  equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good  selection of  hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Size: The width of the door was  unevenly cut by 1/4" and the height by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or  sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--email  us for a quote.

Condition: Considering the door is well over 100 years old, it is strong, sturdy  and in great condition. It only has nicks and scratches, and 1 thin/small break  on the lock-housing (see last photo). However,  there is no rot, warp, broken or cracked joints or panels, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Strip/Refinish: We could strip/refinish,  or partially or completely strip the door to    prepare it for you  to repaint or refinish. We   have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an idea of how this door could clean up. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.

Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door allowing you to install your   hinges on either side which allows you to define the swing.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.
