31"x79" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior Exterior SOLID Wood Wooden Door 2 Panels

Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old, 1905, Craftsman Style Home outside of Philadelphia. It is made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and is painted on both sides. The door has 2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft  wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same  insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old  pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder  and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a  good selection of  hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the right or away from the room towards the left. We could change the swing of the door--message us for a quote.

Strip/Refinish: We could strip/refinish,    or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you   to repaint or  refinish. We have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an idea of how this door could clean up. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
