32"x106.5"x2" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Wooden Wood Interior Exterior French Door Windows Wavy Beveled Glass

Exquisite, antique, French, door salvaged from an old home in Brooklyn, NY. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir and is painted on both sides.

The door has an impressive arrangement of 12, true-divided windows with original, wavy, glass.
The glass has a unique, cut pattern which makes the glass look beveled. I've come across thousands of doors since I started selling them back in 2003, and have never seen this before.
These were probably custom ordered by the owner of the Brownstone.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any  hardware. However, we have a good  selection of  period hardware to outfit  it (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Size: The width and height of the door were unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to be taller/wider--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, there are no serious breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.

For some reason, someone shaved a small, thin portion of the top of the lock-stile off (see last photo). We could replace the missing portion with fresh wood--message us for a quote.

All of the glass is intact and are in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right, or away from a home towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do  you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
