Beautiful, antique doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and are painted on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.

The doors have a window with old, wavy glass and 3 raised panels below on both sides. On the exterior sides of both doors, they have beautiful, applied molding around the window and panels

Hardware: Other than a mail slot on Door#2, the doors aren't equipped  with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out the "Hardware" section of our store).

Condition: Considering the doors are well over 100 years old, they're strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges or any other serious issues. Door#2 has breaks on the lock-stile edge, the lock housing, bottom piece of molding, and the bottom of the hinge-stile on the exterior side (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that they have will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is also intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: Door#1 is set up to swing into a home towards the right, or away towards the left. Door#2 is set up to swing in the opposite direction. We could modify either door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could modify either door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the heights or widths, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you  would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
