32"x79" Antique Vintage Old Victorian Wood Wooden Storm Screen Exterior Door

Beautiful, antique, storm door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid pine and is completely painted white

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young  pine.

The door has 3 screened sections. All 3 sections have tiny rips and holes.  We could replace them--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The door does not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes,   scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, there are no serious breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp. The worst damage is a small break in the top corner of the interior side of the hinge-stile. (see last photo). The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.

Swing: The hinges span thickness of the door allowing you to define its swing, thus, permitting you to install your hinges on either side.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width,  replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
