32"x80.5" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Entry Door Windows Beveled Glass

Rare, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and is stained on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn  from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant,   rot-resistant, or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than  young pine.

The door has an uncommon, Arts & Crafts style arrangement of 9, true-divided windows. The middle window has beveled glass.

The door has no hardware holes nor hinge mortises. We could cut out holes for hardware--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with  any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit it (check out our store).

Uneven Height:

The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/2". The cuts was most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even width/height, cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be taller/wider--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong,  sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks  and scratches, but  no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other  serious issues. Most  of the blemishes that it has will    disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever   remains will be subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is intact and in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Modification: We could  also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a  frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse  the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description of  what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
