32"x85" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Storm Screen Exterior Door Window Glass

Rare, antique, storm door salvaged from an old home in Northeast, PA. The door is made of solid pine and is painted on both sides. The door has a single panel that is raised on the exterior side, and recessed (flat) on the interior side.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has a removable window with 11, old glass lites. Although the door is missing a single piece of glass, we can replace the missing piece--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit it (check out our online store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and  scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious  issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks."

The 11 glass lites that are intact, are in great shape with only subtle  scratches.

Swing: The door is currently set up to swing outwardly (away from the home) and end up on your right side or inwardly towards the left. We could modify it to swing in the  opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification:  We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
