Beautiful, antique door salvaged from an old home in Pottstown, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.

The door has a window with old, pebbled, textured glass and 3 raised panels below on both sides. 

Hardware: The door isn't equipped  with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out the "Hardware" section of our store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no rot, warp, broken or cracked joints, or any other serious issues. The door has a small break on the exterior lock-stile (see 4th photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is also intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The swing of the door is set up to swing into a house towards the right or away from the house towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing,  plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you  would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
