36.5"x83" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian Wood Wooden Storm Screen Exterior Door

Beautiful, antique, screen door salvaged from an old, home in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid pine and is completely painted white.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young  pine.

The door has a single, screened section. The screen has tiny rips and holes. We could replace the screen--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The door does not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Quirks & Considerations:

The door used to be a Storm door. The former owner lost the removable window, and decided to turn it into a Screen door.

The height of the door was unevenly cut by 3/4". The cut was most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, cut it to be narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be taller/wider--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes,   scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, there are no serious breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.

Swing: The door was equipped with surface-mount hinges, allowing you to install your hinges on either side which lets you define its swing.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width,  replace glass with screen, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
