Since wood expands and contracts naturally and the panels are confined within their openings, when they expand, they press up against the walls of their openings and this disturbs the paint (especially in the center where there is the most tension). The wood contracts back to normal but unless the panel is sanded and repainted, the crack remains in the paint as a scar.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eThe heights of Doors#2, 4, and 5 and the width of Door#4 were unevenly cut by 1\/4\"\u003c\/b\u003e.
