Lovely, vintage painting made in Northeastern PA. The canvas is a solid, 1/2" thick, Douglas Fir board that is actually made up of 6 smaller, horizontal boards glued together. They are reinforced with 2 thin vertical boards in the back.

The painting depicts a mother and daughter gathering sunflowers. Although the painting is simplistic, it has a great 1960's vibe which is perfect for any mid century style home. The natural wood grain and broken edges add additional depth and detail. I really like how the dark-stained, non-painted portions accentuate the painted portions and make them stand out.

Since this panel just hung on a wall for years and had little human interaction, it's in great shape. There are small nicks, scratches, and spots of missing paint here and there which just add to it's aged charm. However, there are no structural breaks, cracks,rot, warp, or any other serious issues.
