Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Victorian Style SOLID Oak Wood Wooden Full Size Bed Frame Head Foot Board Headboard Pair

Gorgeous, antique, Victorian style, Full-size head and foot board set salvaged from Scranton, PA. This set was owned by the mother of a local police officer. Both pieces are made of solid oak and still retain their original stain and finish.

We don't have the original side rails. The officer said that his mom wanted the bed lower to the ground to be easier to get in and out of bed. He drilled 2 holes under the original slots where the rails connect so that he could install the rails closer to the ground. Now, you have the option to install rails at the original position that they were meant to be connected or you could install them lower to the ground. Although this is an antique bed it still uses the common rails that could be picked up at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, etc.

Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the pieces and found no repairs to make, nor anything to reinforce. He said that they are, "as solid as a rock."

The only flaw to point out is a chip in the top of the post that's on your left side if you are looking at the headboard (see close up photos). Otherwise, the head and foot boards just have nicks, light scratches, and spots of worn paint--common wear for old used furniture. This set is strong, sturdy, and ready for a lifetime of service!

4 upright posts are 3 1/2" thick at the top where they are rounded and 1 5/8" thick below, where they are square
