Some of the plating wore off over the years leaving the hinges with a nice, distressed finish. They  all have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hinges, but there are no breaks, cracks, bends, or gouges. We greased the insides of the  knuckles before sliding the pins back in.
