Pair 3.5"x12" Antique Vintage Old Beveled Milk Glass Swinging Door Push Finger Plates White Porcelain
Beautiful, rare, antique push plates salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. We removed these from a swinging French door that we got from a 1920's home in Scranton, PA. They are made of milk glass and have beveled edges.
Although they are not shown in the photos, we are including 4 old screws to install the plates on your door.
Considering that the plates were probably touched hundreds or even thousands of times, they're very clean. If you want a brilliant shine, just wash them with some soap and warm water
Considering that most glass push plates we salvaged are split or have large breaks or cracks, these are in great shape! The first photo shows the pair side-by-side; second photo shows front, side, and back views of one plate; and the last 2 photos show close ups of the small imperfections each plate has:
The brown spot is a small dent caused by something that rubbed against the surface for the plate for a long time and wore it down. Once worn down, it must have gotten dirty. I'm sure the dirt could be removed and the dent could become less noticeable. One of the other imperfections is an extremely tiny and thin break on the top or bottom edge of the other plate. On the same plate, a thin slice/sliver of one of it's corners broke off at some point and was glued back on. We found it like this so the glue must have held this piece in place for years and should continue to hold it indefinitely.
