Pair Antique Vintage Old "City of Chicago Board of Education" SOLID Brass Doorknob Door Knobs Handles

Beautiful, original door knobs made by, “Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co.,” during the first half of the previous century. The set includes 2 brass knobs and a steel spindle.

The knobs feature a hand holding a torch encircled with the text, "Board of Education City of Chicago."

The beauty of the details is accentuated by a lovely patina.  You could tell someone cleaned the knobs or started cleaning the knobs a couple of decades ago because the patina would've been much darker by now. If you are planning on cleaning the knobs anyway, then this is a bonus!

They're in excellent condition with only light scratches and tiny nicks. There are no breaks, cracks, dents, deep scratches, gouges, The casting on both knobs is very crisp considering their age.
