Rare Hand Tooled Embossed Leather Book Bible Cover Red Portrait St.Fabiola-Italy

This listing is for a vintage hand tooled leather cover book/bible. It features red burgundy color embossed leather, on both sides. Front has a copy of the famous painting of Saint Fabiola done by Jean Jaques Henner. The portrait is double framed with ornate gilt accent. Inside, lining is burgundy satin fabric. Circa 1960’s.

Jean-Jacques Henner (15 March 1829 – 23 July 1905) was a French painter, noted for his use of sfumato and chiaroscuro in painting nudes, religious subjects, and portraits.

Great vintage pre-owned condition with slight sign of wear and age. There are some minor scuffs on spine of the cover and very light wear to the lower corners. Please see pictures.
