Vintage Crystal Glass Ships Captain Decanter w/Solid Stopper Paneled Neck Whiskey Scotch Wine Bottle Geometric Design Nautical Barware

This sale is for a vintage clear crystal glass ship's decanter with removable stopper. Decanter is patterned with intricate detailing diamond, square, wedge patterns in crosshatch design and also starburst cuts. Bottom displays a flower design.  Pressed glass decanter stopper is solid crystal glass and has a similar design with the body. This heavy decanter looks like never been used.

Measures approx.: 12” Tall with stopper; 9 1/4” Tall without stopper.  7” Diameter of base. Capacity: 32 oz.

Excellent vintage mint condition. No chips, cracks, or fleabites. 
Historically, the ship decanter was invented and used to store alcohol on sailing boats. The sturdy wide base would keep it from tipping and rolling around the captain's table.

Decanter’s classic style adds a touch of elegance to any home bar or table setting. Nowadays, it is often used for different wines due to its wide base and long neck. But it can also be chosen for other spirits, such as cognac, whiskey, bourbon, gin, or scotch.
