What a rare find! Gorgeous, kitchen cabinet set salvaged from an old home in West Pittston, PA. The cabinets were made by, "Wood-Metal Industries, Inc." of Snyder County, PA. The company started by making metal furniture during WW2 and transitioned to making wooden furniture in the 1950's. What's even more interesting: although they transitioned to working with wood, they finished all of their products to look like metal. It's amazing how close to metal they got these cabinets to look!

All of the photos were taken prior to removal. I got this set a year ago with the intention of installing it in my current house. In the meantime, I ended up getting a new house and no longer need the set. It has been cold, snowy, and icy outside so I haven't taken them out to get some current photos with better lighting. The cabinets were carefully removed, transported, and sat in their own corner of the warehouse, so they are very close in condition to what you see in the photos. I plan on taking photos and measurements soon.

There are 11 cabinets in total. Below is an overview of each cabinet. Please reference the first photo, starting from the left:

1) Tall, 4-door cabinet with 3 shelves in the lower section and 1 in the top section.

TOP:

2) Single door cabinet w/2 shelves.

3) Corner/Angled, 2-section cabinet with 3 doors and 4 shelves.

4) Short and wide, 2-door cabinet, no shelves. (shown above the stove)

5) Single door cabinet w/2 shelves.

6) Short and wide, 2-door cabinet, no shelves. (shown above the refrigerator)

BOTTOM:

7) Double-door and drawer cabinet with shelf.

8) Under-sink cabinet w/2 doors.

9) Corner cabinet w/single, revolving door and circular shelf

10) Narrow, 3-drawer cabinet w/sliding panel/tray

11) Narrow, single door and drawer cabinet w/shelf

Regarding the L-shaped top/counter shown in the photo around the sink: although I could've salvaged it, I wasn't planning on using it and I had no room in my van so it is not included. However, the top of the cabinet shown under the microwave is included and its attached. It is made of a thick plywood veneered with Formica.

All of the thin molding shown around the top edges of the cabinets, touching the ceiling are not included.

The scalloped curtain box above the window and vent cover above the stove are also not included.

The set's fine quality craftsmanship is only equaled by it's excellent condition. There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or gouges. Expect typical wear for the age: light scratches and nicks. All doors open and close, and all drawers slide in and out with ease. The revolving door and shelf of the lower corner cabinet move effortlessly. Even the finish is in fantastic condition and the cabinets still genuinely look they're made of metal. This is a very rare opportunity to own a unique, American-made, kitchen cabinet set that is also a work of art!
