Beautiful, antique, interior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and painted on both sides. It has 5 raised, horizontal, stacked panels on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees  hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young  pine.

Hardware: No hardware  included, however, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our  physical store.

Uneven Size: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut it to an even 25 3/4", cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to a larger size--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage is a small break on the bottom, lock-stile corner of exterior side (see last photo). Otherwise, the door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away from the room  towards the right.  We can modify it to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels  with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the  heights or widths, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with  a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
