Beautiful, antique, French doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The doors  are made of solid pine and  are  stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that   old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine.

Both doors have an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided  windows with old, wavy glass.

Hardware: Neither  door is equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good  selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The height  of Door#2 was unevenly cut by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut either door to an even height/width, cut  them shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to them to make them taller  or wider to fit your opening--message us for a quote.

Condition: Both doors are strong,   sturdy, and in great structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches,  but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any  other serious issues. Door#1  has a small break on the bottom corner of the hinge-stile (see 4th photo) and  Door#2 has a small break on the top corner of the lock-stile (see last photo).  Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear  after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be  subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only  subtle scratches.

Swing: The hinges mortises span the thickness of the doors, allowing  you to define the swing of either door.

Modification: Do  you want to take both of these doors and turn them into a pair? Do you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
