* Although there are 2 doors available, the list price is for 1 door only. If you are planning on buying only one door, please email us after  the auction to let us know which door you'd like. The first 5 photos show Door#1, and the last 3 show Door#2

Handsome, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA.  The doors are made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and are painted on both sides. They have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, 2 recessed (flat) panel arrangement.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn  from 10  - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant,  or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old  has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger  than young pine.

Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

* If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please  email us for a quote.

Uneven Height: The height of Door#1 was unevenly cut by  1/4".
The cuts were most likely made to  compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor.  We could cut either door to an even height/width, cut them narrower  and/or shorter, or even build them up to make them bigger

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great condition. They only have nicks and  scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other  serious  issues. Door#1 has a small break on the bottom corner of the  interior lock-stile (see 4th photo) and the top hinge mortise is missing (see  5th photo). Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: Door#1  is set up to swing into a room towards the  right, or away from a room towards the left. Door#2 is set up to swing in the  opposite direction. We could change the swing of either door--message us for a quote.

Strip/Refinish: We could  refinish or partially or completely strip the door(s) to prepare it/them for  you  to repaint or refinish. We have MANY   photos of doors that we've restored that could give  you an idea of how these doors could clean upEmail us with a small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you  a quote.

Modification:  Do you want to use these 2 doors as a pair?  Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We  could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a  frame, trim or add to the heights or widths, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
