29.5"x79" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Solid Wood Wooden Interior Doors 2 Panels

Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides. They have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, 2 recessed (flat) panel arrangement.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn  from 10  - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant,  or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old  has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger  than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out the "Hardware" section of our store).

Uneven Size: The height and width Door#1 was unevenly cut by 1/4".
The cuts were most likely made to  compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor.  We could cut it to an even 29 3/8"x79", cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build them up to make them bigger--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great condition. It has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other  serious issues. There is a small break on the top  of the hinge-stile, a break below the lock housing and a break on the top corner of the interior hinge-stile (see 4th photo). Most of the blemishes that the doors have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away towards the right. We could change the swing--message us for a quote.

Modification:  Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We  could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
