Handsome, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The doors are made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and are painted on both sides. They have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, 2 recessed (flat) panel arrangement.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn  from 10  - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant,  or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old  has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger  than young pine.

Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The height of Door#2 was unevenly cut by 1/4".
The cuts were most likely made to  compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor.  We could cut either door to an even height/width, cut them narrower  and/or shorter, or even build them up to make them bigger--message us for  a quote.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great condition. They only have nicks and  scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other  serious  issues. Door#1 has a small break on the top corner of the hinge-stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: Door#1 is set up to swing into a room towards the  right, or away from a room towards the left. Door#2 is set up to swing in the opposite direction. We could change the swing of either door--message us for a quote.

Modification:  Do you want to use these 2 doors as a pair?  Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We  could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a  frame, trim or add to the heights or widths, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
