32"x79.5" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Solid Wood Wooden Interior Doors 2 Panels

Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides. It has a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, 2 recessed (flat) panel arrangement.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn  from 10  - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant,  or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old  has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger  than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit it (check out the "Hardware" section of our store).

Uneven Height: The height was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to  compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor.  We could cut it to an even 79 3/8", cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other  serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left. We could change the swing of the door--message us for a quote.

Modification:  Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We  could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
