Pair of Antique Vintage "American S P Co" Old Ornate Metal Cast Iron Student Child School Desk Table Ends Sides Legs Brackets

Beautiful, antique, student desk legs/sides made by, "American Silver Plate Company," of Buffalo, NY sometime during the turn of the previous century. They are made of solid cast iron and retain their original black enamel paint.

We bought these from a man who had the desk completely disassembled. He lost one of the wooden parts that went to the desk so we either had to make a new piece or just sell the ends. Since making a new piece would not only be complicated, it also wouldn't match the old wood so we just chose to sell the ends.

We included a photo of a complete desk online (see last photo). The ends in that photo are identical to the ones that we are selling.

You could construct your own custom desk, bench, plant stand, table, etc. or find another creative way to use them. They are so cool "as is" that they could be used as decorations.

Each leg is elegantly embellished with scrolling vines and flowers.

The portion of the leg that held up the seat swivels up and down.

Considering their age, they are in excellent condition! No breaks, cracks, gouges, deep scratches, missing components, etc. The swiveling seat brackets move smoothly and effortlessly. Even the paint is in great shape. There are just some small spots of rust around the holes were the bolts were attached. These beauties are ready for another lifetime or two of service!
