20"x78.5" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Closet Pantry Door Panel

Unique, antique, closet door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. The  door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and it is painted white on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the   same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine

The door has a unusual panel arrangement with a single recessed (flat) panel on  one side and 4 recessed smaller panels on other side.

Hardware: The  door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a  good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Height: The height of the door was  unevenly cut by  1/4" at some point  most likely  to accommodate a warped floor or sagging  foundation. We could cut  it  to an even 78 1/2", cut it  narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--email   us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues.  The worst damage on this door is a break on the bottom corner of the exterior  lock-stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Strip/Refinish: We could  strip/refinish, or partially or completely strip the door to  prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. We   have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give  you an idea of how  this pair could clean up. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done,  and we'll give you a quote.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards your right, or away from the room towards your left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace  the panel with glass, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give  you a quote.
