24"x68" Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Victorian Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Closet Pantry Door 5 Five Panels

Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old, 1889 home in Northeastern PA. It's made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and is stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have   the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities   that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has a Victorian style, 4-panel arrangement with  4 vertical panels. The panels are raised on both sides.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However,  we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Width: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 3/8", The cuts were most likely to accommodate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, build it up to be taller/wider, or even trim it to be narrower/shorter--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. it only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the right, or away from the room towards the left. We could modify it to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
