28"x80.5"x1.75" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Solid Wood Wooden Interior Door Single Flat Panel

Elegant, antique, interior door salvaged from an old apartment building in Harlem, NY. The door has a solid birch core covered with 1/8" thick birch  or mahogany veneers. It has a single, recessed (flat) panel and is painted white on both sides.

Please don't  think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used  on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength  and stability to the door.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store).

Condition: The door is great shape with no serious flaws like broken or damaged  joints, deep cracks or dents, rot, or warp. It has nicks, scrapes, and scratches, which will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks." It is built like a rock and ready for a few more lifetimes of service.

Refinish/Repaint: We  could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it  for you to repaint or refinish. See  the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email  us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.

Swing: The door is currently set up to swing into a room  towards the right, or away from the room towards the left. We could make it swing in the opposite direction--email us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your  opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to  the height or width, replace the panel with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.
