2"x2" Vintage NOS Antique Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Cast Brass Door Cylinder Mortise Key Hole Plate

Lovely, vintage, mortise cylinder plate salvaged from  Eastern Massachusetts. We acquired a big box filled with, "New Old  Stock," plates from the storage room of hardware store that closed down  in 2016, and this is one of the plates. It was made around the middle of  the previous century or earlier, and sat in a box for decades. As a  result, it's as close to mint as you could get for old, door hardware.

It's made of thick, heavy, cast bronze, not flimsy stamped,  pressed, or wrought bronze nor plated steel. It has a subtle patina and  light surface scratches from being shuffled around a box over the years.

Although it's tough to tell from the photos, the plate  is a yellowish "brass color and not an orange "bronze" color.
