31.5"x79" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Room Doors 5 Raised Ladder Panels

Elegant, antique interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine and has 5 raised panels on both sides. The door is painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Uneven Height: The height was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut it to an even 79"H, cut it narrower/shorter, or even  build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst flaws are a break on the lock housing (see 4th photo) and a small gap between the panel and the molding its secured by (see 5th photo). This isn't a serious issue, and wasn't noticeable until we chipped off the paint covering the panel/molding. The gap doesn't pose a problem to the strength of the door, and it will simply disappear once you sand and re-paint/stain.

Otherwise, the door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition and most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room and end up on your right side when you enter the room We could make it swing in the other direction.
