30.5"x89"x3" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Wood Wooden Interior Pocket Sliding Door 5 Panel

Grand,  antique, pocket door salvaged from  an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted  white  one side and finished on the other.

* If you think that pine is a weak,  soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees,  which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same  quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were  hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine  trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As  a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and  more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. *

The door has 5, raised, horizontal panels with lovely, stepped molding  contouring the inner edges of each panel.

Quirks & Considerations: The previous owner added hinges and a rim lock, and used the door  as a standard, swinging door for one of the apartments in his building. We could plug the holes and add the missing piece  of edge molding where the rim lock was housed--email  us for a quote.

Hardware: Although the photos show some hardware installed; the door  doesn't come equipped with any hardware. We don't have any track hardware, but  we do have rollers, pulls, and locks to outfit the door (check out our eBay store).

Condition: There are cosmetic blemishes from top to bottom, which are normal for a  100+ year old door. We've included close up photos  of the most obvious blemishes (see last photos). However, the door is quite  strong, sturdy, and in good overall condition. Most of the  scrapes, scratches, and nail holes would be  removed by sanding and/or filled with putty during the preparation phase  prior to staining and finishing, or concealed once painted.

Refinish/Repaint: We  could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it  for you to repaint or refinish. See  the last photos in this auction as an example of our work. Email  us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your  opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to  the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.
