30x73.5" Antique Vintage Old Interior Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Flush Barn Door

Elegant, antique, barn door  salvaged from an old 1889 home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid pine and has a flush design on the front side, and a Z-shaped pattern of slats on the back-side. The door is completely painted.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door equipped with its original pivot hinges. If you wanted to replace/add hardware to the door, we have a good selection  of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.

Uneven Height: The height of the door were unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely to accommodate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, build it up to be taller/wider, or even trim it to be narrower/shorter--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. it only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is currently set up to swing outwards, towards the left, or inwardly towards the right. However, we can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your  opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, plug the hardware holes, add decorative embellishments, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
