30"x77" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Entry Door Panels Glass

Beautiful, antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted  on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.

The door has a window with a single glass lite. The door has 1 panel above the glass and 2 panels below the glass.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The door's height  was unevenly cut by  3/8". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut the door to an even width/height, cut it shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to it to make it taller or wider to fit your opening--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door  is strong, sturdy, and in great  structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked  joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The door is missing some  window molding (see last photo).  Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear  after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will  be subtle, "character marks".

All  of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The  hinge mortises span the thickness of the door. As a result, you could install  your hinges on either side of the door, allowing you to define its swing.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make  a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse   the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description  of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
