30"x78" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Door 4 Panels

Charming, antique door salvaged from an old, 1880's home in Forkston, PA (see last photo).  The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and is painted on both sides. The door has 4 recessed (flat) panels on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine  is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.

Uneven Width: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to  accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the  door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to  be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, warp, or any other serious issues. The door has a cracked panel (see 4th photo).

The top corners of the door are rotted (see last photo). We could cut-out and replace the rotted portions with fresh wood--message us for a quote.

Otherwise, most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks."

Swing: The Door is set up to swing into a room towards the right, or away from the room towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do you  want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could  modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a  frame, trim or add to the height or width,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware  holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you a quote.
