30"x80" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Interior French Door 15 Windows Wavy Glass Lites

Beautiful, antique, French door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. It has a solid fir core covered in a 1/16" thick Hardwood veneer and has a worn stain on both sides. 

Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.

The door has an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided windows with old, wavy glass.


Hardware: The door does not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

* The door had an astragal and used to be apart of a pair. We removed the astragal, but the mortise hole for the flush bolt remains. We could fill the flush-bolt mortise and all other hardware holes with solid wood--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. There is a small break in the veneer on the bottom of the door (see last photo). Otherwise, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.

All of the glass is intact and in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the right, or away from the room towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
