30"x82.5"x1.75" Antique Vintage Old Wood Wooden Exterior French Door 15 Window Glass

Beautiful, antique, French door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, OH. The door has a solid Douglas fir core covered in a 1/8" thick Oak veneer. The door is painted on both sides.

Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.

The door has an impressive arrangement of 18, true-divided windows with old, beveled glass. 6 windows are missing their glass. We could add the missing glass--message us for a quote.

The door is missing a window mullein/muntin (see 4th photo). We could add the missing mullein--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The door does not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height:

The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/8". The cut was most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes,   scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. The door has a small break & a dent in the veenr (see  2nd to last & last photo). However, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. The  small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left and away from a room towards the right. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
