30"x84.5"x1.75" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Oak Veneer Wood Wooden Interior Door 5 Panels

Elegant, antique interior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door has a solid Douglas fir core covered in a 1/8" thick Oak veneer and has 5 raised panels on both sides. The door is stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft  wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have  the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities  that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine.

Each panel on the door has applied (raised) molding.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Width:

The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even 29 1/2", or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: Considering the door is well over 100 years old, it is strong, sturdy  and in great condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges or any other serious issues. The door has a break on the lock-housing (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left, or away from a room  towards the right. We can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message  us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.
